Temple Model Train Show
Here is the final (I hope!) schedule for the Temple model Train Show:
Friday, September 17, 4:30 PM - set up at the Mayborn Convention Center (Ed will tow the trailer, I will be Fat Controller)
Saturday, September 18 - 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM - show is open to the public - Fat Controllers: Mike Pauwels and Steve Wise
Sunday, September 19 - 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM - show is open to the public - Fat Controllers: Scott Smiley and Adrian Elliott
5:00 PM - teardown (Craig will tow the trailer back to Cedar Park)
For the newcomers: it usually takes from 2 to 3 hours to set up the layout, depending on the number of participants, the
size of the layout, and whether or not we set up accessory modules, skyboards, plexiglass, etc. We have a large
area, and will be setting up a 2 x 7 layout (which uses most of our modules). We sometimes leave
the finishing touches for the next morning. Since we should have 5 people at 4:30 PM (me, Ed, Steve, Scott, and Mike/Hunter)
and 6 people around 5:00 PM (Mike/Hugh will be joining us), we should be done setting up by 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM.
As usual, anyone else who is available is more than welcome to join us.
Even though we have lost the space at The Railyard, Craig said it is OK for us to leave the trailer there, in case another
space opens up for us. He will tow the trailer back to The Railyard and park it in the back parking lot.
I'll see you at the Annual Meeting on Wednesday and in Temple on Friday.
