Setting up our layout at The Railyard in Cedar Park

Craig Berry (owner of the Collectible Caboose) has talked to the landlord at The Railyard about TTAT
setting up our layout in a vacant store for a couple of months.

He has offered us the use of a vacant store. It was a Century 21 office, so it is completely finished and
has all amenities (i.e. many electric outlets, A/C, ceiling fans, rest room). The store is divided into 4 areas:
a "lobby" (probably the greeting area - it isn't very large), the main area where the agent's desks were,
a rest room, and a small room with a closet. The main area is L-shaped.
The front part of the area is approximately 19' wide and 27' long. The rear section is
about 9' wide and 20' long. We could set up a 2x4 layout in the front section. We might be able
to squeeze in a 2x9 L using the whole area (I am not sure we can actually fit our two corner sections
into the 9' wide section).

Craig would keep the key at the Collectible Caboose and any member could borrow the key and
run trains anytime his store is open. I am sure we could make arrangements to use the layout at
times when Craig isn't there. Craig would also be able to run his own trains on the layout when
we aren't there.

The landlord retains the right to enter the store at any time to show it to prospective tenants. If he
leases the space we would have to vacate the premises on short notice (probably a couple of days).

We could park the trailer behind the store temporarily.

The main problem is that the landlord would require us to have liability insurance
($1,000,000 for each incident, $2,000,000 aggregate). Craig suggested
that perhaps one of our members who either owns a business or works for a small business could have
a rider added to their commercial insurance policy to cover this location. He thinks this would not cost very much.
I asked him to investigate adding a rider to the policy for the Collectible Caboose. He would prefer if
one of our members could handle this, but he said he would look into it as a last resort.

Can anyone arrange for liability insurance for us? Do you (or someone you know) own a business or work
for a small business that could add the store in Cedar Park to your commercial insurance policy for a couple
of months? Scott suggested that the club could pay up to $100 for insurance from now through the beginning
of January.

If we can arrange for insurance this week we could set up in The Railyard when we come back from Flatonia
so we can be in the layout tour for the Austin Model Train Jamboree and leave the layout setup until our
next show (hopefully Austin GATS in January).

Please let me know if you or someone you know (not necessarily a club member) could handle the liability
insurance for us.

Thanks.
