Re: Layout for AMRE Fall Train Show
Hi Ira, Thanks.
I didn't even think to look for Rick's bridge behind the trolleys.
I think it is very helpful to have the layout diagram a few days before setup. Very motivating to see it in advance. Helps me figure which trains to bring. Well worth a couple of iterations.
So, I hope you will continue to put it out in advance in the future.
Thanks, again.
See you all tomorrow.

As I understand it, we are on the back wall, between the large lift-up door and the
exit door on the side.
I designed the layout so the sidings (and no scenery) are against the back wall.
The scenery is all on the other three sides of the layout.
Bill: Thanks for asking about the Rick's bridge. I was just going to tell you
it is in the spot marked "Bridge." When I looked at the layout diagram,
I noticed that I put the bridge in the middle of the side opposite the sidings,
right behind the trolleys. This probably wouldn't work very well. Rather than
moving the trolleys to the side (which is what I would have done if you
didn't lead me to look at the diagram again), I moved the bridge over so the trolleys
can still be in the center of the layout. The latest layout diagram is attached.
(This is why I don't like to distribute the layout diagram before the show. I keep
revising it until the last minute. It is confusing for the members to receive multiple
copies of a layout. Hopefully, this will be the last revision before we get to Live Oak
to set up tomorrow.)
I'll see you tomorrow in Live Oak.
