Re: Superstreets

Yes, Sanda Kan owned K-Line and licensed it to Lionel.

I would not be surprised to see Williams offer the K-Line products.

Subject: Superstreets

Hi guys, some of you who were at the annual meeting may remember me grumbling about Lionel cancelling the Superstreets turnouts. Well I just found a article in OGR that states that Lionel is discontinuing all the K-Line stuff. Basically it said that the China manufacturer, Sanda Kan, owns the tooling for the K-Line stuff. Sanda Kan has been bought by another company who owns the Williams by Bachman brand.

So it looks like K-Line wasn’t owned by Lionel. Lionel was just licensing the items for sale under the K-Line by Lionel brand. Since the K-Line stuff is now owned and manufactured by a company who is a competitor of Lionel’s, Lionel doesn’t want to buy from them anymore and is thus discontinuing the K-Line by Lionel brand.  It will be interesting to see if anyone else picks up the K-Line stuff.
