Subject: Summer schedule
The board set up a few dates for club activities through the
summer since we have limited show engagements. WE had none until tonight
and we are looking at participating in the National TTOS show in San Antonio
Aug. 6 -7 that is a Fri. Sat. So here we go. Some are
activities and others are to coordinate those that want to attend some of the
local shows that we are not able to set up at this year due to rotations
of layouts by the club sponsors.
Show coordination:
Idea is to set up a car pool to attend a show for a few hours so we all do not
need to drive there and have the opportunity to talk there and back.
July

July 31 SAMRA summer show Live Oak
Sept. 18. Temple
Train show.
Each of these will get a coordination document for you to
sign up if you plan to attend so others can see that and a car pool can be
coordinated. Before you go to one of these, look at the others wanting
to attend.
Club activities.:
July 24 - Fun Run at Bill Lohman's
house - No set up effort, bring some trains and drinks. 10 - 6
PM
Aug. 6-7 TTOS National convention in San Antonio Crowne Plaza
Hotel Set up on Thurs. Aug 5. Still pending but we just got
invite. WE would need enough to do the set up on a Thursday and run on
the Fri. and Sat.
Aug. 21 - Club annual meeting.
Set date aside. location is still being discussed. There will be
silent auctions, purchase items as well as door prizes.
Sept. 11 -
Wok day/ Fun Run at Scott's house
Pending items:

Fun run at Adrian's layout in San Marcos and train
watching.
Dec. 31 First Night Austin if we can find a suitable place to set
up.
Austin Train ride out of Cedar Park
Future activities to put on
your calendar:
2nd or third week end in Jan. 2011 Amtrak trip to
Dallas or Ft. Worth overnight there.
Oct 11-15 2011 York PA TCA train
show. Members can bring guests so if we go as group not everyone needs
to be a member.
Sign up for those you are interested as soon as
possible so plans can be made.
