What exactly do you mean by largest? If you mean by wheel arrangement there were also 2-10-0's, 2-10-2's, 2-10-4's, 4-10-2's, and the UP had 80 or so 4-12-2's. 4-8-4's or Northern types were among the most versatile steam engines made.

UP 844 moving south from Navasota and coming into Magnolia TX.
