Hi Steve,

I thought about analog meters.  They could only be read when you are
standing right at the power monitor.  I don't think you could read them
from across the layout.  However, you are correct - they don't need
a separate power supply.  They are a completely different form factor
so I would have to completely rebuild the front panel (again).

They are also cheaper.  I see some 20 amp AC ammeters on eBay
for as low as $6.99 with free shipping.

I would prefer to stay with the digital meters.  However, if I can't find
any other solution, this is a definite possibility.
