I used to dabble in Maerklin about 25 years ago. I never learned what was considered valuable and what was a dog on the market, except that it was good if everything was blemish-free, had all the original parts, and was in the original boxes and better yet if it had never been touched by human hands. That's not enough to give anyone a handle on that set's value. Unfortunately, there isn't a store in Greater Austin that deals with them. Maybe San Antonio? --Lee DeGolyer > Date: Fri, 19 Sep 2008 09:58:46 -0500 > From: swise@aoot.com > To: gmadillo@yahoo.com > CC: craig@collectiblecaboose.com; ttat-members@aoot.com > Subject: Re: Model Train Question > > Glenda Voigt wrote: > > I have recently acquired what seems to be a very old Marklin train set > > which may have actually come from Germany.
