Re: L-Shaped Layout Using Four New Corners
Scott,
I measured the original corners and Ed's previous set of corners when we first started using them.
Attached is a copy of my original measurements. Corners C1, C2, C3, and C4 are the old
corners. Corners C5 and C6 are the first set of Ed's new corners. C7 and C8 (which I didn't
measure) are the new corners which Ed and you built.
Corners C5 and C6 measured as 56-3/4" squares. I also measured from each track to the edge of the
square. The dimensions on the diagrams reflect these measurements.
The old corners were 53-1/2" squares.
According to my original measurements, the new corners are 3-1/4" larger than the old corners. I don't
think the 1" discrepancy between your measurements and mine will make any difference in setting up
the layout.
The dimensions I used on the L-shaped layout sketches came from my original measurements.
I only measured one corner from each group, assuming that all corners from that group were the
same size. (i.e. I measured one of the C1, C2, C3, and C4 corners and one of the C5 and C6 corners.)
In any event, I think the L-shaped layout will work.
Ira
