I think the track is damaged off center from the short straight.  The tender on the 4-8-4's rocked quite dramatically.  The 54" diameter was not a problem for the locomotives.  Several postwar steamers pilots derailed continuously causing several wrecks also.

Ira, it was the module coming off the yard to the carnival.  All we have to do is set up 
for track 4 to be used instead of track 5.  Sorry for not being more specific.
