Train Show

Thanks to all that attended. Although we had just the minimum
participation for the whole show, we did set up probably the largest
layout yet. We used all but one module in the trailer in an L shape.
All in all it was a good show and seemed to have some different vendors
than we saw at GATS. It took 5 of us 1.5 hours to take down and load and
be rolling home, a very good time.

We had some double heading of steam engines on Sunday, quite impressive.
Steve debuted his entire freedom train, 17 cars and double headed
Northerns. Scott debuted a new scenery module ( replaces an old one).
Ira had a new? Chessie engine. Hugh and Mike showed off there Christmas
acquisitions. Rick and Ricky put on an impressive display of box cars
and passenger cars, UP of course.

We still need show coordinators for the up coming shows. Ira will put
out a list a of dates from the flyers he picked up. We could add some
shows to our list, almost one a month.

I think that it was Rick behind me on the way home and I am sure he can
attest that the trailer is a real bear to handle. I tried to stay around
55 mph but still lost it several times. The trailer starts swaying back
and forth. slowing down seems to let it recover. We need to solve this
soon. Ideas are welcome. We loaded some of the internal weight opposite
the corners but maybe not enough. Also tongue with could be an issue?
It can really pull the back end of a vehicle around and you just hope to
stay in your lane.

Scott
