RE: Discussion item
Hello all,
My thoughts, however they may be......
1. More power, mmmmmm good!
2. Agree, tracks 1 and 2 should get it first.
3. MTH TIU should probably remain on track 1.
4. RE the halt button thing:
The sc2 is basically 4 SPDT relays??? Is there any way to wire it between
the TIU and track and program it to trip one of the relays on the Halt
command thus cutting power to the track?? If not how about a Basic Stamp to
do the same thing or some type of electronic circuit driving a relay that
would respond to the halt command.
Or, the ugly way, how about another powermaster, say track 6, set to
command mode so 18V all the time. Power wouldn't go to a track but just to
the coil of a relay so........., when the halt is pressed the track 6
powermaster would cut power to track 6 (really the coil on the relay), the
coil deenergizes, contacts open, power stops flowing to track 2.
Adrian...

I would put the increased power on the tracks with the largest diameter
curves (tracks 1 and 2)
since it is most likely that the long, power-hungry engines would only work
on these tracks.
In order to increase the power we have to move the IC controllers to the
tracks with the
increased power, since the PowerMasters are more limited.
