Austin Jamboree

One of our upcoming events is the Austin Model Railroad Jamboree.  It will 
be held Saturday, October 26 at the First United Methodist Church, 1004 N. 
Mays Street in Round Rock.  The hours for the show are 8:30am to 2:30pm.  
(We'll also be setting up the modular layout at the Flatonia Czhilispiel 
this week-end.)

In the past when the 4x8 has been used at an event, the members setting up 
the layout also had to bring the trains, transformers, accessories, etc. 
that would be placed on the layout.  Earlier this year we bought a couple of 
plastic containers so we would have a place to keep train equipment that 
could be used with the 4x8.  We would like to get enough donated equipment 
so whenever someone wanted to use the 4x8, they would not have to bring any 
of their own equipment with them.

So far we have a small transformer that Bob donated, the dispatching station 
that was in the trailer, a couple of the billboards that were donated to the 
club, and I have added some freight cars, a crossing signal, and a diesel 
shed.  Let me know if you have any unwanted engines, cars, accessories, 
etc., that you would like to donate and I'll add them in.

I realize that many of you will be going to Flatonia that week-end but if 
you can't make it to Flatonia on Saturday, Ron and I would like to invite 
you to join us at this show.
