I think that we can make up a 2.25 inch gap. This does make it
interesting. This could allow us to have a longer layout without taking
up for floor area.

I think that the track length is the same whether the corner is flipped
inside or not. there is less straight though. But for the same floor
area, what they sell at shows, we could add more track, getting back the
lost straights.
