Scott pointed out an interesting idea I had overlooked.

If we put the second new corner adjacent to the interior (new) corner module, the spacers would only
have to be 2 1/4" wide.  There may be enough flexibility in a large layout to allow us to close the
loop without using any spacers at all.

Also, I forgot to mention that if we do use 10" spacers we would also have to bridge the spacer
modules with the standard 4- and 6-conductor cables.  The power cables on our standard modules
wouldn't be able to connect across a 10" gap.
