Re: Plexiglass on the corners

We've had a lot of good discussion the last couple of days about protecting
our trains and I think this is a worthwhile project. I think everyone has
had a chance to make comments and suggestions.

At the last board meeting we discussed projects like this and what we
thought would work would be for a couple of members to get together and
decide what option(s) are best and then build a prototype(s).

On this project we may want to do one corner module and 1 mainline module.
This would give us an idea as to what would work best for us and also give
us an approximate cost of the entire project. It would also let us know
what else may be involed besides buying the plexiglass and molding. Do we
need to need to shorten the curtains? Do we need to buy more velcro or can
we reuse the old velcro? With this information we can decide what we can
afford to do with our current funds, do we need to fund it another way, and
how much work is involved.

I have 3 pieces of plexiglass that can be used to help build a prototype. I
can double check the thickness and size but a glass cutter can be used to
cut it to any size that is needed.

Any volunteers to build a prototype?

Ron
