hi steve 11.10.01.
from jas.e.smiley
changing trains
it takes a long time to change out a 20' train and the members should
coordinate their down time with the fat controller so some trains are
always running.
we have to continously be aware of the spectators point of view.and have
as many trains running as possible.
our board has a next to run on the track which can help . we all need to
watch to avoid too many changes at the same time
unfortinately , we do not have any 40' sidings to expedite the change
over.
there is one thing which can help the change over and that is 6 tables on
our needs request. when there is adequate table space the long trains
can be removed from the track quickly. the next runner should be prepring
his train to go on the track at the same time the trains are coming off
the track. the next runner needs the siding to set up his trains and he
has to have the mainline and the passing siding available for his
operation and take down at the end of his run.
when the voltage problems are .solved , i hope to run 2 or 3 trains on
the same track every now and then.. the clear passing sidings will be
important for this operation. Bye, bj.1
