Re: Misaligned Tracks
I am quite surprised about the new siding modules but not the regular
modules. A lot of this alignment started when the carpet was added to
the modules. There was not as much concern about the location as was
done in the original construction. This is why I suggest 2 tee squares
be made that will automatically put the track in the correct position.
We have one now that only covers 3 tracks. WE will need to cover 5 and
have two of them one for each end.
I agree that at a work day we must set up modules one at a time and fix
what ever is wrong at that time.
I also agree that we must pay more attention to vertical and horizontal
alignment when setting up. One thing we can do is to again adjust all of
the legs to the same length. this helps in the vertical. Then we must
eye the horizontal as it is being clamped. When one track is out we have
to get it moved to the correct position. We can not use the edge of the
wood to know we have alignment, we must look down the track.
I will put more out my additional comments after a lot of the other
comments are in. I guess I really started something here. The dialog is
good and no one should take any offense. Our collective minds are better
than any one. There has been some real good stuff in the email.
