Steve,

This is Jana again. I appreciate you reaching out to the club but I wanted to touch base again. The train we have been given by one of our generous donors is an HO gauge train. We are needed someone skilled enough to build a set for us to place this track and train so that the kids can view it prior to interviews, medical exams, and therapy. Do you know of one person or a group of people willing to lend their time to design and build the set(scene) for this train and track we already have? I have had a table built to accommodate it. We can pay for the materials but need the folks skilled enough to donate time to design and build it. We are also willing to give signage credit to those who graciously donate this skill and time.

Please let me know who I might ask or if you know of folks capable of helping us out here at the Center for Child Protection in Austin (Travis County). I also have included a picture of our table for the train and scene to reside. The Plexiglas will be in place by the end of today. The measurements of the table are about 91” deep and 99” wide.

We are a nonprofit that works to ease the trauma a child may experience in a difficult time in his/her life. The Center provides services and resources for children who are suspected victims of sexual abuse, serious physical abuse, and for children who have witnessed a violent crime. Forensic interviews, therapy, case management, medical exams, court orientation and parent coaching are all provided to protective family members at no cost to them through the generosity of our community.
