The Railroad and Heritage Museum will host a Celebrate Summer Family Train Trip on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 from 10:30 AM to 5:30 PM. This is the third trip hosted by the Museum celebrating summer.
Our second trip on July 18th opened and closed in two days. This family trip is again for adults and children. Adult ticket price is $40.00 per person and child ticket price is $25.00 per person. Pricing for the children is based on the age of 2 – 12. The trip begins at 10:30 a.m. by meeting with trip chaperone, Carol Olcott, in the lobby of the Santa Fe Depot. Once checked in, travelers are scheduled to depart at 11:25 a.m. when they will board the Amtrak Texas Eagle bound for Cleburne, Texas. After arriving in Cleburne, visitors will have time to enjoy lunch, do a little shopping or take a brief walk around downtown. Anticipated return departure is 2:50 p.m. with arrival in Temple at 4:45 p.m. This schedule is subject to change without notice by Amtrak. Guests may bring personal snacks and drinks on their outing.
