Trackers,
Due to lack of interest / participation the board has decided cancel our setup for the Austin Model Railroad Jamboree. We felt that the club has had a very busy fall with several train shows and is due for a break especially with the Holiday Layout Open House right around the corner. This will give everyone time to rest, recooperate, and maybe have time to finish up a project so that we can start the Holiday's Open House fresh. I want to thank everyone who was involved that were trying to make this a success. Everyone's contributions was greatly appreciated! The board will decide at our meeting next Thursday the game plan for setting up for the Holiday Layout Open House.
Now, just because the club is not setting up doesn't mean you still can't have a fun train filled weekend. The show is still going on and will have vendors, clinics, and fellowship at the First United Methodist Church in Round Rock from 8:30-2 this Saturday. I believe Craig from Texas Train Supply, formerly The Collectible Caboose will be a vendor there. Saturday afternoon / evening and Sunday afternoon various other layouts around the Austin area will be open for viewing. You must go to the church in order to get the map for the layout tour. So come on out to the show and have fun.
Thanks,
Ricky Dolifka
2011-12 President
