Re: Trains sets found in attic

Hey Jim.  I've CCed our club membership so if anyone is interested in purchasing this equipment, they can contact you directly.

We definitely accept donations.  However as we an O gauge club, we would probably sell the HO equipment and maybe the AF set too.  But it may be worth something.  I'll let other members from our club who might be more knowledgeable of older collectibles talk to you directly though.

Club members: please email Jim directly: jmbatwork@gmail.com

Cheers!

Steve.

During the cleaning out process I found my old American Flyer train set - some limited research says it was purchased in 1949 - 1950.
The Engine and Tender are marked 300AC, also have 4 other cars, some track and transformers.

Also HO gauge train sets from the 1950's.  Engines, cars , track and transformers.

I am trying to figure out what to do with the trains.  My kids are not into it like I was, I don't want to just drop them off to goodwill as I think someone could get some use out of them.

So I am looking for advice - what should I do with the trains.  I am willing to donate them if I can be assured they will be appreciate.
