Re: Fwd: Information Please

YES! During the holidays I set up a layout with my Lionel Polar Express. I showed my granddaughter Mary how to operate the train and the whistle with the CW80. Mary even learned how to reverse direction, fwd, neutral, reverse, neutral, etc. She ran the train without supervision or ANY derailments. Mary is 3 years and 5 months old! Russell

I have a great grandson who will be 4 in April.  He is absolutely crazy about trains. The highlight of his life thus far has been a trip to see Thomas and actually ride on the train.  I recently saw a news item about some event your club is having that is open to the public and for a $5 donation one can actually operate the trains.  Would this be something my great grandson would be able to participate in or does he need to be older?  Also, where is this going to be and when, what time, etc.  I checked out the website but didn't get much info from it.  Any info you can give me willb e greatly appreciated.
