They have fewer members to run trains and don’t need so many mainlines. The warmer weather in Austin keeps you old guys active and involved instead of home with cold induced arthritis. They have more siding b/c TTAT had a long standing policy prohibiting turnouts on any of the tracks. Then tracks 3 and 4 were allowed turnouts. Then Tracks 1 & 2 were allowed turnouts. Now we just need members to build modules with turnouts and sidings. We also have a policy of “club owned” versus “individual owned” modules. Many clubs require a “donation” of modules as a condition of membership, so all modules are available when setting up. We only use the personal modules when the members can bring them to setup. -Mike From: ttat-members-owner@aoot.com [mailto:ttat-members-owner@aoot.com] On Behalf Of Bill Lohman How come all the other Tinplate Tracker modular clubs have 2 or 3 tracks with more sidings and scenery and we have 4 and 5 tracks?
