Plan to get there around 9 am on Sat, 11 Dec to clean the newly installed plexiglas -- and the older, too while at it.  

 

Can power up the layout and open the door at 10 am if needed since I'll be there early.

 

By the way if you're thinking of attending for the first time.  I was surprised at how easy it is. Very convenient.   Much easier than the usual downtown gig like at World's Greatest Hobby in San Antonio.

 

You can temporarily park on the side of the wide entrance to the adjacent parking garage on Colorado St .(one way south) between 2nd and Cesar Chavez to unload --  about 100 ft from the entrance to the layout. 

 

Then you can wheel your auto around the corner and park free until 5 pm in the City Hall Parking Garage a scant block away at Lavaca (one way north) and Cesar Chavez. 

 

Google it.   The layout is at 102 West 2nd Street  --  corner of 2nd Street and Colorado.  Unloading garage entrance is directly behind (south) of layout.

I took a look on the participation document and have 3 members signed up and committed to be at the layout on Saturday Dec 11.  If you can, please go out to the web page and sign up.  This is the Saturday that AMLI asked us to be open at 10:00 am for their special event.  These are the folks that are allowing us to use the building and would like to put on a good show for them.  We now have plexiglass almost completely around the layout.   Thanks to Bill, Rick and Ricky for their efforts in getting this accomplished.  Come out, take a look at the layout, run some trains and have some fun.
