Subject: Plexiglass Project -- Phase I Complete!1

Rick, Ricky and me met at the layout on Sunday afternoon and added plexiglass holder to the vast majority of the "linear" (2 X 4) modules with the following results.

We installed plexiglass holders on all of the linear modules in the back room that are not in the layout and on all linear modules on the layout that were accessible.   And we installed plexiglass on all the accessible modules on the layout.  This includes installing holders and glass on Ira's trolley modules and on the two 45 degree corners at the front of the layout.  The latter to protect the raffle train from small fingers.

The layout looks great and our trains will be much safer -- especially on Track 1 -- with the plexiglass now all the way around.  (Except the lift bridge).  I plan to clean the plexiglass on Saturday with that special plastic cleaner I use.

The inaccessible linear modules still needing moulding are the ones jammed against the big work bench at the back and the modules behind Ira's trolleys.  We plan to add the holders to these modules during teardown.

Since we added moulding to some modules that were not in the initial plan  -- Ira's trolleys and the back sides of two 45 corners  -- and with a couple of other adjustments we estimate that we need six more 4 ft sections of moulding at $5.00 per section.  If the Board with approve this I'll purchase the lumber and paint and drill it to have it ready for installation by teardown.
