Donation trains

Now that some of you have seen some of the trains donated to the club, I
would be interested in ideas on what their disposition should be that
would benefit the club.  Thank you Mike for getting them down to the
show.

I am thinking that  we do not want to keep them in the club trailer as
there is not sufficient room.  Also, we have not seen a lot of demand for
a club train, especially after we disposed of the 4x8 layout. We do have
one train in the trailer for what ever reasons.  It seems to me that
these items are in better shape, more expensive and are more of the
collectible kind that we would want for a trailer train any way.

My ideas are:
Use one item for a door prize at tour annual meeting ( we need to do
something to increase the attendance).
Hold a silent auction for several items at our annual meeting, say 5
things.
Bring a few items to the next few shows to silent auction off to our club
attendees. ( May help attendance?)
Offer the others to the club members for email auction with reasonable
starting bid prices.
Raffle off some. ( this would not have the same interest as with a full
set unless we made it so)
Sell the remainder at a show.

I think that the point is to use them to the best advantage of the club.
