Train Shops Closing

FYI.

Lone Star Trains in San Antonio, Clay Kinsner, is closing down and going internet only in the near term future.  He's having a big sale.  Odds are he'll have a big display at Garden Ridge TCA next Saturday.

Also, Pat and Cherry Neil's Collectible Trains and Toys in Dallas, the premier O Guage trains store in Dallas for over 25 years, are giving up their retail space and moving their store to a building on a residental property they are purchasing.  Will still be in business but with greatly reduced hours.  This is where I got my start back into model railroading in 1997.

Internet sales, Ebay and lower profit margins from the manufacturers are doing them in.   Not many retail train stores left in Texas.  Sign of the times.  Too bad.
