Re: Raffle

I don't think the older style Lionel TPCs require the serial port.  We could make one of the sidings or something else use one of those older units.

We had another great raffle thanks to Lorraine and her great selling.  I think we took in more on Sunday than on Sat with lots fewer people in attendance.   $164.

We did have some issues with the layout though.  The new siding track was great and Ricky's new module fit right in too I guess since it was in the layout on Sat after a late arrival.  Now for the issues.

We used a temporary TPC to control track 4 since our is not functioning properly.  Then the TPC on track 3 stopped working?????  Fortunately, Steve figured it was the strength of the serial port and that with 5 TPC units on the circuit, one would not work.  Sure enough, taking the old unit off the serial line and track 3 worked again.  Here we go again finding a limitation on the electronic hardware.    It does continuously amaze me that we are pushing the envelope of the electronics.  Steve felt that Legacy may have a weaker serial signal than the TMCC, who knows but I hope we do not find out.

How did we eventually do with the raffle?
