I slid the bottom of the yard up against the bottom stop and could touch track to track on the 2 modules. Both need to be widened to separate the modules when facing each other. Now they are facing front to back with straps across the switches on the front module.Rick

this was an item on the list. I think only the top one needs to be changed and it is a 10 minute project. There are still several things still on our list to get done so anytime some one wants a little project, we have things that need to get done.I think we will be getting the trailer stored at the Steam Train Assoc. lot soon so will need to consider that as we get to and from shows and for working on things.ScottOn Sun, 21 Feb 2010 17:01:00 -0500 rbd1949@aol.com writes:Bill. Excellant day!!!!!!! A hundred 'ATTABOYS!!!!!!! The yard is beautiful. It passed an independent inspection with flying colors. Only one minor problem we need to address. The righthand switch on Trk 3 would not throw back to green. It went to red no problem. We had to handthrow it back to green several times.I would like to suggest that we widen the yard spacer blocks above and below and add a stop at the bottom front. This will allow us to face them track to track in the trailer. Keeps the cinch ties and straps off of the tracks and switchmachines. This will help protect track from the leg cart as well.Again, KUDOS to Bill for an excellant work day. Really enjoyed being with everybody.Rick-----Original Message-----

And the bonus was that we got to have fun operating trains on Bill's layout afterwards. Three trains going at one time is a challenge but adds to the realism of railroading. Thanks Bill for your hospitality once again.David

WE had a successful work day on Saturday Feb 20 thanks to a lot of teamwork and steadily improving weather. And the pizza was pretty good, too.Scott won the brand new Atlas O limited edition boxcar!Alot was accomplished. The biggies are:The complete switching yard, all eight modules, now have K-line Shadow Rail track. Three modules are brand new. The rest have been reconditioned. And all the front modules have plexiglass slots. A full functional test was performed with Allan and Mike leading. So, what amounts to a new, improved yard, end to end including the yard throats, is ready for the March New Braunfels show. Sign up and come out and run your trains on it!The other biggie is all the legs are now cut to one length and the screws adjusted to middle position. This took three guys on average working most of the day. Big job. Should really speed up and improve setup. There was lots more accomplished. Thanks go to the following for their hard work and excellent results.Scott SmileyAllan AdelmanJohn EagleBuddy BurkRick DolifkaLee DeGolyerEldon FarrellDavid GoldDave GoldMike GrazianoHope to see you at New Braunfels.Bill
