Re: New Braunfels Model RailroadJamboree - 2010

Ira, I went back to the Temple layout to see how Steve's modules were set up with Ricky's city.  You had it labeled as a 6 x 3.  However, it is actually a 7 x 3 layout.  Steve's modules took up 4 1/2 modules and Ricky's took up 2 modules.  A 6 x 4 will allow Ed's bridge plus Ricky's new station on one end, Steve's r/tt on the long side, and Ira's carnival on the other end.  We can fit my bridge with Steve's r/tt or next to Ira's carnival.  Some but not all scenery modules will fit.

Hi Steve,

According to the layout diagram, you didn't have the roundhouse modules
at last year's New Braunfels Model Railroad Jamboree.

Since you signed up for the event and indicated that you will bring your
modules,
I will give them first priority in the layout.

The other people bringing scenery will have to settle for the
eight modules along the sides. I will take three of them for the carnival,
leaving five other modules for scenery. Whoever signs up first
and indicates they want to bring scenery will get them.

If Scott and/or Ricky want to bring their scenery modules, I think
we will have to rule out either of the bridge modules (Rick's or
Ed's) since there is probably no place for them.

I probably won't design the layout until a week or so before the event,
so we have plenty of time to see what scenery is available and what
we will use at the show.

Thanks for bringing the roundhouse/turntable modules. They always
draw a lot of attention.

Ira
