New event coming up fast

Mike G. has worked it out and the board has agreed, to have the layout
set up until Jan. 16th, 2010 at the location downtown on Lavaca. 
Therefore, we will have several more weekends available for running our
trains and Christmas presents and we will need some help on those
additional Saturdays.

The big new event though is that on Dec. 31, Austin will be celebrating
First Night in downtown and right across the street from our location. 
This is the family oriented alternative to the 6th street crowd.  It has
been very well attended.  We will be open for that activity from 3 to 9
that afternoon.  We will likely need all of the bodies we can get there
to run the layout and help manage the crowd.  If things are going well
and the attendees will support the layout, we can stay open later as
demand and support are available.  The raffle will be over and we will
not offer public runs but we expect many people to visit our location.  I
will prepare a coordination document on our web site so please sign up
indicating your attendance so we can see our level of support for this
event.
