Of Michael Graziano Hi everyone. The board has approved setting up the layout over the
holidays in an open retail space in downtown Austin. I created an event
document on the website. As I mentioned in an earlier email, we have obligated to man
the layout from 11AM to 5PM on 5 Saturdays from November 14th
through December 19th. Can you please sign up on the event
document and indicate in the “Other Notes” section of the document what day you
will attend so that we know we will have minimum coverage? In addition, the layout will be available to members every
day from November 14th through the 19th (and maybe a
little longer than that). The hours when the key will be available are
11AM to 7PM Mon – Saturday and 12-5 on Sunday. I can make other arrangements
for the key if you need it outside those hours. This will be a big
event for us. We are going to try something new. In addition to
selling a raffle for a starter set over 5 weeks, we will also allow the public
to pay to use track 4. I will have a small TMCC freight set on Track 4
which people can pay $5 to operate for 15 minutes. The cost and duration
has not been finalized. I hope this will go a long way towards generating
income for us so that we can move ahead on three pending projects (a lift/bascule
bridge section for entry into the layout, plexiglass windows around the entire
layout, and the remaining 45 degree corners). Thanks, Mike The
