New Members
In case you have not notices we have had some new members join our ranks
recently. Please welcome them to our club and help them get introduced
to everyone at the shows and on how the railroad is operated at shows.
Don Newman from Round Rock
Eldon Farell from Lago Vista
Welcome guys and I hope to see you at our up coming shows and fun runs.
The club members have a wealth of information if you need any
consultations and know that you will also contribute to that knowledge
pool.
Also, I hope that you take on the role of Fat Controller for some time at
a run in the next year after you have seen how the layout operates.

Club President

I know that the same people have been towing the trailer to most of our
shows but thought that as we get new members that may have the capability
of towing the club trailer that they should have a checklist of the
things needed to tow it safely. Therefore, I created a short checklist
which is now located in the trailer by the hitch items in the side door.
To cut to the chase, the most important different thing than just hooking
up the trailer is to insert the emergency brake cable. If you do not,
then the brakes will be on the whole time and you will be fighting them
for all the miles you go. The trailer has electric brakes. A brake
controller in your vehicle shortens the braking distance if you have one.
We are still working on having one that all can use.
