Re: Fall York TCA Show - Wednesday Report

Hi All,

Picking up on Scott's words. . .

I've been attending York TCA off and on for several years now, and pretty much know my way around.

It'd be lots of fun to attend as a group.  And I'd be pleased to help in any way to make it fun for all interested.

The main trick is to reserve hotels/motels early as they ALL book 100% way in advance.

Well, Actually, I am thinking that we should set  up a trip to the April
TCA show in York for our club members and others.  I have done group
trips many times in the past for snow skiing so this would not be a big
deal.  Southwest flies to Baltimore for reasonable rates and hotels seem
to be about $10 to 125 a night depending on how far away you are.  Looks
like 20 miles might be a good location.  WE could get a van depending on
the number of people for local transportation.

I am thinking it would be more  fun with some folks you know running
around and showing things to.  Sounds like Bill knows some of the places
to be at the show.  My Idea would be to leave on Wed. After noon
arriving late in Baltimore and then get to hotel for Thurs Morning at
show.  Also have the train museum to hit close by.  Return Sunday
afternoon to Austin.  This would miss the bandit shows but the main event
should have enough for everyone.

The April show is 22-24.  That is Thurs. Fri. Sat.  So leaving on Wed. 21
and returning on Sun 25.

This is 6 months away.  Who would be interested?
