Hi Trackers,

 

Turns out I had to cancel my plans to chase the famous UP 844 steam locomotive from Cheyenne to North Platte, NE this upcoming weekend. 

 

So, please count me in on the 6 pm Friday setup and on attending the show both days and helping with teardown.

I'll bring both of my Legacy CAB-2 Controllers. Would you like me to also bring the Legacy Bases?   As with the San Antonio WGH show, I plan to also bring my "high tech" four battery charger with eight spare rechargeable NiMH batteries for use in any of the CAB-2's as a backup provision if needed.

 

I think Steve Wise is bringing his CAB-2's.  This will give us six CAB-2's.  We should be able to provide a CAB-2 to anyone who wishes to use one to operate.  And we can use the extras "offline" to enter and assist others to enter engines  into the Club Legacy System if this makes sense.  

 

But, I've found over the past year that the CAB-2's drain batteries much faster than the CAB-1's and that Legacy does wierd things when the batteries are weak.  So I think we either need to use the charging Legacy Bases or plan on swapping out batteries from my "high tech" charger when needed.  Do you have provisions for them or at least spare AC outlets for them in the new cart?   I can bring a 50 ft or a 100 ft extension cord with a 4 AC outlet capability if you think this will help.
