Fwd: Lionel: General Product Question about Dropped Items

All,

Craig told me today that Lionel had dropped some of the items that were 
in the 2008 Volume 1 catalog, including my E7s.  I sent an email to 
Lionel and Mike Reagan emailed me back a little while ago with the 
reasons and that he expects many of the items to show back up in future 
catalogs.

I also want to let those K-Line collectors that I found a web page that 
looks like the old K-line trains web page listing the items, the 
original price, and in most cases, the picture of the item.  Here is the

The items were cancelled to allow us an opportunity to trim back our
production schedule and get a better hold on the quality of our
products. To the best of my knowledge we do plan to recatalog the
locomotives, but I honestly do not know when. I also understand the
marketing department is working on our new 2008 volume 2 catalog, but
because of company policy I cannot comment on what items will be in
there! 

We appreciate your patronage in the past and into the future! Keep the
faith, I am sure you will see the E-7's recataloged before too long.

Question:
Hello,

I put in an order when the 2008 catalog came out for the C&O Legacy E7s
(6-34556) and just found out from my local hobby store that these
engines had for some reason been dropped and I also notice they can no
longer be found using the Product Finder.

I was wondering why they were dropped and if they will be brought back
in the future because after I put in the order, I purchased about $1000
worth of a consist for these engines.  If they are not coming back, will
Lionel be selling any other C&O Passenger Engine that would have pulled
the tri-color passenger cars in the future?
