RE: [Fwd: model display for Polar Express at the IMAX]

My 2 cents – I think that if we do this (and the children’s hospital), I would rather run the full modular layout rather than the 4x8 – I think most kids would like to see more than 2 trains running, with the carnival (if available), and all the scenery that we have.  The only drawback is finding time to set up the layout.

I am available to participate after 1 pm on Saturday and could help tear-down the layout when we are done.  Maybe they could let us run Sunday too if we have enough interest…

This is one week away and we would need about 6 to commit to the activity.  It was great fun last time several years ago.  WE set up in the evening and ran trains through the day .  People waiting in line were close by .

Again, the 4x8 is less work and at a height kids can see what is going on.  Also needs participants.  Please reply to this e-mail over the week end and we will see if there is enough interest to set up one or the other.  I will plan on caller them on Monday.

Dear Tinplate Trackers,

As part of our opening day festivities for the upcoming showing of The Polar Express 3D at the IMAX at the Bob Bullock State History Museum, I am organizing family-fun activities, including games, arts & crafts, and more. The Tinplate Trackers, along with The Heart of Texas G-Gaugers, put together a wonderful one-day display in the Museum's main lobby several years ago as part of our Polar Express grand opening. I'm hoping you'd be interested in doing it again! We expect to draw a crowd of 400+ children and adults to our opening day celebration, Saturday, November 17th.

Thanks for your time and consideration. Please let me know if your group is interested and available and we can talk soon to work out the details!

All the best,

Rosalyn Mandola
