U.P. Heritage Series AnnouncedSeptember 6, 2006 - M.T.H. Electric Trains has announced production of a seven set Union Pacific Heritage Series of diesel locomotives, box cars and cabooses. Scheduled for release beginning in 2007, the series will feature the six primary heritage railroads consumed by Union Pacific over the past 100 years as well as a U.P. themed set. Starting in January 2007, one roadname per month will begin shipping to M.T.H. Authorized Retailers beginning with the Union Pacific railroad. Each set will include a Premier Line SD70ACe diesel locomotive, a 50' Hi-Cube Box Car and an Extended Vision caboose each in matching livery. Pricing is set at $499.95 per set and production will be strictly limited to advanced orders placed by a November 30, 2006 deadline. All seven sets are featured in M.T.H.'s 2007 Volume 1 Catalog due for release in mid-October, 2006. The locomotives are equipped with M.T.H.'s Proto-Sound® 2.0 digital sound system and feature the firm's exclusive Proto-Scale 3-2_ technology for operation on 2-rail or 3-rail track. Order of production will begin with the Union Pacific set followed by the following sets over the next six months:
