Re: Train Club Information

Hello Michael!

My name is Steve Wise. I'm on the advisory board for the club. I get
the emails sent to ttat-info@aoot.com.

Nice to meet you! I'm CCing our general club membership email address
so everyone can read your info.

Our club web site is http://www.trainweb.org/ttat. Check it out for
more info on our club. We meet formally for operating events, club work
days, and occasionally a layout tour of one of our members' layouts. We
also meet once a year for club elections. You can find our club
schedule on the web site. Our annual dues are $50 a year. For this,
you get access to the clubs members-only site, subscription to the email
lists and delivery of our (infrequent) club newsletter, plus the fun of
participating in our operating events! We don't have a permanent
layout, but rather a large (up to 30' x 30') modular layout that we
setup for various train shows, fun runs, etc are central texas.
Members are encouraged to contribute by helping maintain our modular
layout; either by building a new module, or revamping an existing club
module as well as helping setup, operate, and tear down the modular
layout for the various events we do.

Currently we're setup out at the Railyard as you know, and our plan is
to stay there until they boot us out because they lease the space. We
plan to run most staturdays out there from now until year end if
possible. This coming weekend (10/29-10/30) we are operating both sat
and sun as part of the Austin Train Jamboree and Layout tour. Come on
out this weekend and bring a train to run! Meet folks and we can
discuss the club more.

Also, we're _very_ interested in anybody who will let us setup in office
space, so we need to discuss this Xmas display idea. Sounds interesting
indeed!

Anyway, hope this info helps and I hope to see you this weekend out at
the Railyard.

Cheers!

Steve.
