Austin Model Railroad Jamboree
I have confirmed our participation in the layout tour for the Austin Model Railroad Jamboree.
We will set up in the unfinished restaurant space adjacent to The Collectible Caboose. This space has
no air conditioning and the sheetrock is not finished. There are some pits in the floor which must be
cordoned off. This space is HUGE, so we can use all available modules and all the scenery modules
you can bring.
We will be listed in the layout tour as being open on Saturday, October 30, 2004 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
We will tear down at 4:00 PM unless the members who are present want to stay longer and are willing to
delay tear down.
We need to set up on Friday evening or Saturday morning. I suggest Friday at 5:00 PM. Please e-mail
me with times you can be there for set up on Friday and we will finalize a meeting time. Towing the trailer
is not a problem since the trailer will already be at The Railyard and we just have to move it to the store.
Craig or someone else who is attending set up can move the trailer.
Please let me know ASAP when you can be at The Railyard for set up. Also, please review and
update your participation information in the event coordination document on the club web site. I
especially need to know what scenery modules (quantity, type, and size) you can bring. We can
probably use them all (i.e. Ed's bridge, Adrian/Steve's transfer modules, Scott's modules, Adrian's
modules, my carnival rides, etc.) Once I know who can bring what modules I can design a layout.
Thanks.
Ira
