I may take the whole day off work. If so, I will tow it up there
early.
Ira,
Is
there any chance the trailer could be moved to Temple earlier. It is a one
hour drive back to Austin after setup, and both Hugh and I are normally in
bed by 9:00 PM. If there were the usual delay, we would not be able to
participate.
Alternately, we would be happy to arrive a couple of
hours early on Saturday to finish the
setup.
Regards,
Mike

Temple Train Show
Based on the responses I have seen to my last
inquiry, here is the current plan:
Saturday September 11 - 1:00 PM to
3:00 PM - run trains 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM - teardown the layout and load
the trailer
Friday September 17 - Craig tows the trailer to Temple -
arriving at the Mayborn Convention Center by 7:00 PM 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM
(or whenever we finish) - unload the trailer and set up the
layout
Sunday September 19 - 5:00 PM - teardown the layout and load
the trailer Craig tows the trailer back to The Railyard
TBD
(before Saturday September 25) - unload the trailer and set up the layout at
The Railyard
I have a tentative layout design, loosely based on last
year's Temple layout. I have incorporated the following modules which the
members listed on the event coordination document:
Adrian: Oil fields
(2) Scott: City scene, accessories, barrel loader, Coke (total of 4),
corner farm Steve/Adrian: Transfer table and industrial scenes (2 long, 1
short) - including mainline module to enter/exit Ira - Carnival rides
(2), trolleys
This layout uses almost all of the modules we have,
except for two old corners. We should pack all mainline modules in the
trailer, since we might be able to add two more modules depending on the
actual space we have. If so, we would have room for two more scenery modules
(Scott's second accessory module and Adrian's city scene). We can decide on
this at Temple and you can bring the additional modules on Saturday if you
like. (Actually, Adrian, Scott and Steve can bring all of their scenery
modules on Saturday - we just need the Transfer Table mainline module during
setup.)
I'll see you on
Saturday.
