Re: Fun run at The Railyard
I'm back from vacation and thought that I would chime in.
For the runs in New Braunfels and Temple we could make it easier on ourselves by only packing the trailer with the components we need for that setup. We should take a few extra muodules, but we don't have to take everything, especially to New Braunfels if the layout is going to be as small as last time.

I noticed that the schedule on the web site still shows the next 6 weeks as
a pending run at the RailYard. Has the board decided to make it an official
run each week or will we just play it week by week. Are we on for this
week-end?
I agree with Rick that we should have at least two people commit to each
week-end so we can start something on a regular basis. Noon to 5 sounds ok
to me. Anyone else have an opion.
I also noticed on the schedule that we have 6 weeks at the RailYards and
then we plan on tearing everything down for a one day show in New Braunfels
on August 21. Then it could be back to the RailYards for 3 weeks and then
tear everything down for the Temple Show.
I know our place at the RailYard is from day to day but does it seem to be
worth the effort to go to the NB show. We'll need to take everything down
at the
Rail Yard put everything back up at NB. Take everything down at NB
and then put it back up at the Rail Yard again. At the last GAT show it
took about 3 hours to set everything up and then at least 1 1/2 hours to
tear it down and load the trailer. Part of the problem is the amount of
stuff in the trailer but I don't see that going away in the near future.
