RE: The Railyard
Towing: I can tow the trailer as long as I have coverage here at the
store, so it will just take a little coordination.
Schedule: Remember, the store is open late (until 8pm) on Thursdays, so
I'm here by default on Thursdays if you want to set up then (or run
later on).
Layout: I just spoke with the guy who will be laying the tile. He is
hoping to get to it next week. He asked for us to leave one foot past
where the wall used to be so he can lay the tile. All that really
means, for now, is that the layout will need to be the same size we had
last time (we were about 18"-24" from the wall). Once the tile is laid,
we can extend the layout onto the tile, as long as we are
careful(duh!)....adding however many modules we want.
I'm excited about getting you folks back up here. You know you can
count on me to help set up.

Subject: The Railyard
I just got off the telephone with Craig. The landlord said we can move
back into the same space we previously had at the Railyard (#104?). His
only condition is that we would have to vacate the space if he leases
it. (That is the same as before.)
They have removed the walls at the front of the store. However, when we
set up we shouldn't extend our layout into what used to be the front
lobby because they are going to tear up the carpet and install floor
tile in the front. We can probably set up a slightly longer layout than
last time if we want to, since we could go up to the previous wall.
We can set up any additional modules you have. For example, if Ed wants
to bring his bridge module or Adrian and Steve want to bring the
transfer table, that would be great. Also, these modules could be added
to the layout later - it is not too hard to remove a module or 2 and
substitute a special module. We could also set up interior scenery
modules if anyone wants to bring them.
Now for the fun part. We need someone to tow the trailer up to the
Railyard and a crew to set up the layout. It would be nice if we could
set up this weekend, but since it is the July 4th weekend, I have little
hope of that happening. Perhaps we could set up during the week or next
weekend.
I will coordinate setting up at the Railyard. Please send me an e-mail
telling me if you can tow the trailer (and when) and when you can
participate in set up. I have the following suggested dates for set up:
Friday July 2 - this is probably too soon for anyone to commit to,
but it is available
Saturday July 3 - any time during the day
Sunday July 4 - I know, FAT CHANCE!
Monday July 5 - Friday July 9 - probably after dinner (even though
I am available during the day)
Saturday July 10 - any time during the day
Sunday July 11 - any time during the day
We do have a Fun Run scheduled for July 9, 10, and 11 at Branch Creek,
so some of you must have reserved some time next weekend. We can use
that time to set up (unless we get set up earlier).
Once we are set up at the Railyard we can set up a schedule for fun
runs.
Please let me know ASAP when you can participate in set up at the
Railyard and if you can tow the trailer.
Thanks.
Ira
