Re: TTAT Trailer

I say keep the legs we have.  There are more important projects we need to concentrate our time and resources on.  If someone wants to rebuild a module and add folding legs to it, then that would fine.  However, to convert all modules seems unnecessary to me.  I think folding legs would make the modules heavier.  We would have to buy the materials, take off leg pockets, & mount them to the tables.  Card table legs might not be adjustable.

I wonder if we were to put the legs in last at the back of the trailer, wouldn't that help shift weight to the back?

A permanent layout would be great.  However, we would still need to maintain a modular layout to be able to earn money from shows.  The optimum scenario would be for the city to furnish a building for all the clubs to share.  Don't hold your breath.  If we set up in a vacant mall space like Temple had, then we might be required to have it operational every weekend like they had to.  We used to go up there and run because they didn't have enough people available to operate.

Bob, didn't you mention something about a get-together in Flatonia?  I saw a flyer for a Bar-B-Q fundraiser in Flatonia at the Village hobby shop.  It's supposed to be in May sometime.

Adrian, I'm anxious to see the PICS you took at NB.  For those who missed it, I had a 52 car freight behind my UP 4-12-2.  It took up 3/4 of the layout.  I think the engineer could see his caboose occasionally.  A lot of people came by and we received many compliments on the layout.
