I am interested in going on Sunday.  I don't know if I can yet but I want to.  Please answer up if you are going, we can try to set up a meeting place.

Y'all,

According to the website, http://www.uprr.com/notes/corpcomm/2003/super_schedule.shtml, the Challenger (3985) will leave St. Louis on Thursday, and will make the run from Tyler to Hearne on Sunday, the 25th, with a service stop in Corsicana at 10:30. Hugh and I expect to be chasing it for at least part of the way, but our schedule might be tight, as we normally have family over on Sunday evenings. We might be able to double up with someone, but at least we hope to see some of you on the route.

Regards,

Mike

Scott, Buddy & Everyone:

In case you didn't notice: The 3985 is being held up in St. Louis for "repair". The news release was dated Sunday, but I called UP and was told that at this time it is expected to remain in St. Louis until Thursday morning. That would put it 3 days behind schedule, but the schedule will likely be modified due to traffic, etc. I was told to keep checking the website.

Ideally, the run from Corsicana to Hearne would be Sunday, but I don't think we will be that lucky. In any case, I intend to take Hugh out of school whenever we get a chance for a photo-op.

Regards,

Mike

Someone set a time to meet and leave and we can go together.

It is scheduled into Hearne at 2PM and leaves at 8AM the next day. It
will under the overpass on 79. This seems like the best place to go
while it is on the road. It is about 2 hours to Hearne. Darkness will
still be between 5 and 6 at best. Only 90 miles so might be able to do
it a little quicker.

I could leave downtown say 3:30 and can hold 8 in my suburban or 6
easily.

Anyone else game for a run. this is a Thurs.
