DCS on the club layout
I got the DCS system back from MTH and reinstalled it in the power box. I ran ProtoSound 2.0 engines
on tracks 2, 3, and 4. The signal was acceptible, even though a little low in spots, on all three tracks.
(I think the tracks need to be cleaned again.) I even got some DCS signal on the sidings.
I set the TPC for track 2 back to command mode. Please don't change it. The TPC is on track 2
for the sole purpose of shutting down the track when someone presses the Halt button on a CAB-1.
All track 2 operating is to be done using the MTH handheld controller.
I installed the new level 3.0 DCS code on the TIU and handheld. Since this new code required me to
reset both the TIU and the remote controller before installing the code, all old engine definitions were erased.
You will have to add your engines again.
The new level of code solved at least one of our problems: when the remote controller shuts down due to
10 minutes of inactivity and you turn it back on, it no longer stops the ProtoSound 2.0 engines which are
running. It even remembers their current speed settings.
I'll be at The Railyard sometime tomorrow afternoon. See you then.
