Bob Miller called this past weekend and apologies for not responding to
emails and attending events.
He's been very busy building a very large bridge for one of Mike's customers.
It's a 150 plus hour project. Similar bridge to what Mike has in his store
if you've been to Porter.
Bob has also taken a part time job doing diesel mechanical truck work in the
evenings plus show and other stuff for Mike Eberle.
Bob will be running Mike's booth at Burnet (along with his son). Mike is in
New Orleans at a different show.
Bob report's that Mike is closing out some big MTH Railking engines...e.g.
the Challenger...for cost or slightly above. $900 engines for $500 or there
about's. Bob says Mike does this every once in while to clear out old stock. I
don't know if he's bringing any of this stuff to the show. It sounds like a
good buying opportunity for MTH lovers.
Bob is collecting diesel engine oil filters at his job site. These have been
cleaned and cut off level. Two sizes: 14" H (?) x 4 1/2" at the base and 9"
H x 4" W. They have round domes. The 9" ones are about the correct scale
for 'O' gauge. Can be silos, fuel storage, etc. Bob will even cut to a
specific height. Best of all they are free.
If interested email Bob and he will deliver them at Burnet.
