Saturday, February 22, 2003, Centra-Mod Temple Train Club suffered a tragic loss when two of their members, Allen and Beverly Flentge, died in an automobile accident near Temple that killed five people. Allen and Beverly were long time members of the club. Allen had served as Club President and Train Show Coordinator in the past and Beverly had served as club secretary. Together, they were excellent model railroaders and modelers. They had received national attention with their Tex-Mex Express module of the Tex-Mex Railroad that ran between Brownsville and Corpus Christi. Their module was displayed as outstanding craftsmanship when it was displayed at National Model Railroad Train Show exhibits with the Centra-Mod Club at national shows in Houston, Denver and Atlanta. They will be deeply missed by their families, the Centra-Mod Club and their many friends in model railroading throughout the country. Please say prayers for their families, relatives and friends. Funeral arrangements are not known at this time. Buddy Burk |
