The prices you are quoting are the list prices.  We can do better through the online hobby stores.
For example, Train Express lists the DCS system (50-1001) at $251.95 and the remote controller
(50-1002) at $125.95.

Also, even though the TIU can control up to 4 independent tracks, only 2 of them may be in
conventional mode - the other 2 outputs are DCS command mode only, which means we
can't use them.  We could theoretically replace the two IC controllers with the TIU and control
tracks 2 and 3 through the DCS (or just one track to start).
